West Palm Beach, Florida (CNN) – President Donald Trump tweeted Friday that he turned down a potential offer to be TIME Magazine’s pined for “Individual of the Year” after, Trump says, the magazine disclosed to him he would “most likely” be given the distinctions.
“Time Magazine called to state that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year” like a year ago, however I would need to consent to a meeting and a noteworthy photograph shoot,” Trump tweeted from his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, where is spending his Thanksgiving occasion.

“I said presumably is no great and took a pass. Much appreciated at any rate!” Trump composed.
The magazine issued an announcement debating the President’s record.
“The President is inaccurate about how we pick Person of the Year. TIME does not remark on our decision until production, which is December 6,” a representative told CNN.

In 2015, for instance, the magazine chose German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was neither met nor captured for the issue. Rather, she was spoken to on the cover by a work of art.
Time Inc’s. boss substance officer, Alan Murray, later said the President’s tweet didn’t have “a bit of truth.”
“Astounding. Not a spot of truth here—Trump tweets he ‘took a breathe easy’s individual of the year,” Murray tweeted, alongside an article about the occurrence.

The President’s tweet came following a day of conversing with world pioneers and playing golf with Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson.
Trump has for some time been fixated on being on the front of TIME and different news magazines, notwithstanding making counterfeit spreads to hang in some of his properties.
The previous summer, TIME requested the phony magazines to be evacuated after reports surfaced that no less than five of Trump’s golf clubs included the fakes bearing his photograph.
The President was named TIME’s “individual of the year” in 2016, after his triumph over Hillary Clinton. It would have been far-fetched he would have been named a moment year in succession, and unordinary for him to turn it down.
In 2015, he anticipated TIME could never name him individual of the year.
