Sky Sports News presenter Simon Thomas ‘crushed with indescribable pain’ over wife’s sudden death

A Sky Sports moderator shared a deplorable message about losing his better half – only three days after she was determined to have leukemia.

Simon Thomas, 44, a previous Blue Peter moderator, said he was “pulverized with unbelievable agony” in the wake of losing his significant other Gemma Thomas the previous evening.

In a passionate tweet, he stated: “Today I am crushed with indescribable pain. Just three days after falling ill with Acute Myloid Leukaemia, my dear wife Gemma passed away yesterday evening surrounded by her family and friends.”

He additionally requested that his supporters say a supplication for his eight-year-old child Ethan, stating: “If you are a prayer – pray for my boy Ethan. 8yrs, precious and in bits. Thank you.”

Simon Thomas filled in as a Blue Peter moderator for a long time, nearby Konnie Huq, Matt Baker and Zöe Salmon.

Subsequent to leaving the BBC he joined Sky Sports, displaying live Premier League scope.

Match of the Day commentator Steve Wilson said: “Simon, I can only send you and Ethan my heartfelt sympathy. I’m not one to pray, but I know you will somehow find some strength from somewhere.”
